Book Review

I was given a book to review from Bethany House to review. The title of the book is The Bridesmaide written by Beverly Lewis. It is the second in her Home to Hickory Hollow series. I am a huge fan of Beverly Lewis so to say I was excited to review a book of hers is an understatement. I would rather read a series in order, but this time I had not read the first book, but I went ahead and read this one anyway and even though I was missing the first part of this story, I have to say, that this book does well by itself. I don't feel like I missed anything previously. I loved the story and the characters were totally people that I would love to meet in real life if that were an option. I highly recommend this book and of course any book by Beverly Lewis.

Book Review "Short-Straw Bride" by Karen Witemeyer I received a copy of this book from Bethany House for review. I didn't know what to expect when I received this book. I had been given the option of looking at a trailer for the book, but I declined. Short-Straw Bride was very refreshing! I was immediately drawn into the story, time, and place from the very first chapter! I found several occasions where I laughed at the characters! My heart ached during their trials. I love the fact that the author laced the story with biblical truths and scripture references! This is my first time reading a Karen Witemeyer book and I was very pleased. It flowed very nicely. I could spend the rest of my life reading stories just like this one of her's!! I anxiously look forward to my next book to review! Thank you Bethany House for this opportunity!!

I have realized, that I am not much of a blogger.  But I will attempt to change that over this summer.  I am going to sign up to be a book reviewer.  Hey, I love books, and I am willing to give it a shot!    So here goes nothing.
